“A fresh injection to old school rock n roll, these guys are gonna make kids wanna play guitar”
Thomas Silver-(ex)Hardcore Superstar / Silver Silver
“These self-styled zombie rockers have gorged themselves on genre standards and gore-fuelled, scream queen slaying shock horror glunk. Their sound is more lo-fi than the likes of The Defiled who I’d imagine they’d be lumped in with, thematically, and instead owes a debt of (dis)honour to trash ‘n’ rollers and gutter punks. Mix that cocksure chimera with a splattering of black hearted video nastiness and a smearing of sexual depravity and you’d have to be lacking of pulse and craving of human brains to not be interested in checking it out.” – Uber Rock

“If hallowed eve is going to really go off without a hitch, you need some anthemic music that’s going to define 2011′s darkest day. The ideal melding should include the dark metal of White Zombie, the rotting rawness of misfits, and perhaps spray some right old dirty rock out of your jugular whilst you’re looking for a bandage. Which brings me to this months newest act, Dead Pinups.
Lurking under the bed in Portsmouth, this frightening four-piece are the must have for anyone who knows how heavy rock should sound. I was convinced i could feel the leather after a minute in. Now that is scary. Mixing the repertoire of drink and drugs with stuff that makes you jump in the dark, there is nothing stopping you waving a severed arm in the air like you just don’t care. Bouncy, swaggering and just enough riffs to bury in a mass grave against UN regulations.”

“Comparisons have to be made to the recently departed London band, Slaves to Gravity but they carry a deeper, darker element with aggressive drums, heavy duty riffs and a dirty as fuck attitude. Edgy, original and distinctive, the Dead Pinups coaster is about to make its descent, make sure
you’ve a ticket to ride or be left in its wake.”
